Jewish citizens of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising are captured and lined up to be executed by Nazi police officers.
Even women joined the Jewish Resistance in hope of defeating Nazi Germany.
Many Jewish Resistance members were arrested by Nazi police during their revolts.
Jewish Resistance During the Holocaust: Moral Uses of Violence and Will is a book by James M. Glass that details some of the revolts by the Jewish Resistance.
Reflection
It was surprising to learn about the Jewish Resistance and how Jews fought back against Nazi Germany with firearms, Molotov cocktails, and homemade grenades. Also, it was shocking to learn how Jews used other forms of resistance, besides fighting German SS and German police officers with firearms. Jews would sabotage Nazi products they were forced to make in shops and work camps, which is a testimony to the determination of Jewish Resistance. The Holocaust is mostly regarded as one of the darkest and cruelest periods of time in history and rightfully so. Seven million Jews were killed from this horrific form of extreme genocide. However, after learning about the Jewish resistance some light can be shed on the Holocaust. The Jewish Resistance shows signs of hope and determination from the people that needed it most during the Holocaust, the Jews. The Jewish Resistance is a prime example of how Jews were able to rise and stand together during a time where millions of Jews were being forced out of there homes and sent to concentration camps or "death camps" where they were eventually were murdered in gas chambers or incarcerated. Nazi Germany under Hitler's reign treated the Jews with the lowest respect and extreme brute force. Some historians argue that the Holocaust is the cruelest form of genocide in history because of the massive number of Jews, Gypsies, and others that were killed during the Holocaust. That is why it is our duty to tell others about every aspect of the Holocaust, the killing of seven million Jews, the Jewish Resistance, the reasons for the Holocaust, and of course the children of the Holocaust. Those who have done research on specific topics should feel all the more obligated to tell others about the Holocaust. For example, if someone has done research on the Jewish Resistance (like myself) should tell people others, Jews in particular about the Jewish Resistance. Telling others about the Jewish resistance is important because people would be able to see how hard it was to be Jewish during the Holocaust and understand the how Jews were able to stand up to Nazi Germany and Hitler's reign. When hearing the words "Jewish Resistance", it is normal to be intrigued especially when it's heard in a conversation about the Holocaust. That is exactly why I choose the Jewish Resistance as my research topic. I wanted to learn what possibly could Jewish citizens do during the Holocaust to fight back against Nazi Germany. Also, how Jewish citizens could have the strength to fight back against Nazi Germany. After, researching the Jewish Resistance I feel more knowledgeable about what life was like for Jews during the Holocaust and I am glad to have learned about the Jewish Resistance, the ultimate form of Jewish strength. Without the Jewish Resistance Jews might not be around today.
